Day 1: CASABLANCA – RABAT – MEKNES:

Our tour from Casablanca after pick up from the Airport or the Hotel, will take us to visit the Hassan II Mosque before departing for Rabat. In Rabat, we’ll visit the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower.  After lunch we will head to Meknes, arriving in the early evening.  You can have dinner in the restaurant overlooking the square opposite the beautiful Bab Mansour gate. Your accommodation will be in a traditional riad in the old medina.

Day 2: MEKNES – VOLUBILIS ( Roman ruins ) –  FES:

After breakfast, we will take a tour around Meknes including El Hdim square, Bab El Mansour, the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city and the Jewish quarter, the Royal Granaries & the city rampart.  We will then depart via Volubilis, and see the Roman ruins and Moulay Idriss, the holy town and an important place of pilgrimage where the founder of Morocco’s first dynasty is buried. We will continue our Morocco tour from Casablanca into Fes. Dinner and accommodation at a traditional riad.

Day 3: FES GUIDED TOUR:

You will have a guided tour to discover the medina and the famous souks (markets) of Fez with its narrow cobbled streets, filled with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets. The sightseeing tour of Fes will include a visit to the tannery and a ceramics cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts.

Day 4: FES – IFRANE  – MIDELT – MERZOUGA DESERT:

After breakfast, we will depart for Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region. We drive through Ifrane, the “Switzerland” of Morocco, and the Azrou Cedar forests, and see the monkey-like Barbary macaques living there. Continue to Midelt where and have stop for lunch.  We will then follow the Ziz River through the valley and stop to see the Ziz Gorges on our way to Merzouga desert.

Day 5: MERZOUGA DESERT EXCURSION:

In the morning, we start our desert tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit a Berber house and listen to some Gnawa music; originally from Ghana and Sudan. We will visit some deserted mines, Berber nomads, and an oasis of palm trees. For lunch, we will head back to Merzouga.

After relaxing for a time, we will go with the camels, that are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. spending the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara desert, which is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise. When we arrive at the camp, we climb the high dunes to see the sunset and spend the night in nomad tents.

Day 6: MERZOUGA DESERT – RISSANI – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY:

We will wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise over the dunes before breakfast and a shower. Crossing the palm lined valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad to arrive at Todra Gorge. There, we’ll take a walk in the Todra Gorges and have lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to our accommodation in the Dades Valley.

Day 7:  DADES VALLEY – ROSE VALLEY – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE:

After breakfast, we will take a walk in the gorge and then take an off-road track to see the Nomad caves.  We will continue via Kelaa Magona, Valley of the Roses, and the Skoura oasis to arrive early evening in Ouarzazate.

Day 8: EXPLORING OUARZAZATE:

Morocco tour  in Ouarzazate city, the Hollywood of Morocco. Here you’ll have a day on your own for shopping or sightseeing. You can visit the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas film studios. Also can be included, cooking Class with Berber family or special restaurant.

Day 9: OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – TELOUAT KASBAH – MARRAKECH:

After breakfast, we will depart to the Morocco World Heritage site, the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Next, we’ll visit the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech.

Day 10: MARRAKECH GUIDED TOUR:

Exploring day, Marrakech has always been a thriving city dating back to the Berber Empire (1062 ACE). Meet your guide for a half-day tour, starting with browsing the stalls of Souk el Attarin (spices), Souk Haddadine (blacksmiths), and Souk Smata (slippers). Visit Souk des Teinturiers (the dyers’ souk) and visit the Koutoubia Mosque, along the way note the open spaces that extend off of some alleys.

The hard-to-miss Mosque’s 253 feet (77 m) minaret is the tallest tower built in Marrakech. Relax in the adjoining gardens, before carrying on to Ben Youssef Madrasa. Built-in the 16th century, this madrasa once housed students of the nearby mosque. Admire the Moroccan artisanship: carved cedar, stucco plaster, and zellij tiling. Visit the Marrakech Museum or the Museum of Moroccan Arts for more examples of traditional art and woodwork. South of Jemaa el-Fna is the Kasbah area with several worthwhile sights: the Saadian Tombs, El Badi Palace, Bahia Palace, and the Jewish Mellah.

Day 11: MARRAKECH FREE TIME OR DAY TRIP:

You will have a free full day to enjoy Marrakech on your own, such as traditional Hamam, massage, etc, or opt for a day tour to the Ouzoud Waterfalls, Ourika valley.

Day 12: MARRAKECH TO ESSAOUIRA DAY TRIP:

You can spend the morning relaxing or shopping in Marrakech before we depart at your convenience to Essaouira, a beautiful city on the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 13: FREE FULL DAY IN ESSAOUIRA:

Enjoy your day wandering the old fortified fishing port of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast, enjoying the amazing mixture of Portuguese and Berber architecture. Explore the colorful souks, art galleries, the carpentry workshops devoted to cedar and Thuya wood carving, and the fortified harbor with its stalls of freshly caught seafood.

Day 14: ESSAOUIRA – TRANSFER TO MARRAKECH AIRPORT.

You’ll have the morning free, to relax or shop in Essaouira before leaving in the early afternoon to arrive in Marrakech by 4 p.m., or earlier depending on your departing flight or whether you want more time in Marrakech. The end of our 14 days Morocco tour from Casablanca.
