ITINERARY: 5 Days tour from Fes to Sahara desert off road Adventure.

5 days Morocco Sahara desert tour from Fez to Marrakech is a private trip combining adventure in the Sahara desert and the charm of the two oldest Morocco Imperial cities, cross the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, overnight in luxury Berber tent, visit gorges and kasbahs. Eco desert Morocco team have created this itinerary to take you out into the magic of Sahara desert.

DAY 1: FES – IFRANE – MIDELT – ZIZ GORGE – ERFOUD – SAHARA DESERT:

The departure of our 5 Days Fes Sahara desert tour, will be after breakfast at your hotel. Then drive to Ifrane city, the Switzerland of Morocco.

After exploring the city, we will continue the journey to Midelt via the Azrou forest, where the wild Monkeys. Midelt is a small town, located in the Middle Atlas mountains. The landscape of this place offers some breathtaking views. Midelt will provide us with a handy break between our next stops, and the road will take us through Ziz valley. We drive by the town of Rissani. This city has gained popularity as a destination, where visitors can still experience the true mystique of Morocco, where tradition and culture are a way of life.

Arrive at Merzouga, a small town in the Sahara desert. Here we will make a quick stop for provisions for your desert trip, and then we will head in the direction of the Erg Chebbi desert. Sunset will provide the perfect lighting for your one-and-a-half-hour camel ride to the Berber camp. where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and sleep under the stars or in fully equipped tents.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT TOUR – KHAMLIA – OUZINA DESERT:

After breakfast in your Berber camp. Start the real desert adventure by exploring Erg Chebbi, we visit Nomads, Khamlia village with its Gnawa music, time to have special desert activities such as Moto quad or buggies excursion. Then the part off-road of Paris Dakar, passing by Taouz village. Lunch in Ouzina village with Berber family, a remote village in the middle of the desert. A place where you can meet the local people and experience the real rural Morocco, a very small oasis, you will spend the night in your hotel and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, rest and prepare for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 3: OUZINA OASIS – M’HARECH VALLEY – ALNIF – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY

After breakfast in the hotel we will continue driving off-road in the beautiful black desert crossing by Berber villages, mud houses till we get to Alnif which will provide a handy stop to have a breath after two hours off-road. Then the road will take us to Todra gorge is a fault that splits limestone into two, wide enough for a crystal-clear river to cut through. This river is also part of a landscape.

The Dades valley is absolutely stunning with rocks in all shades of orange and red and is known as The Country of Figs, will be our final stop, and here you will spend the night in your hotel, rest and freshen up for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE:

The morning starts surrounded by the beauty of the valley, after enjoying breakfast at your hotel we will have some fun by getting off-road for the educational and life-changing experience of meeting nomads in their caves and they will hospitably invite us to take tea with them and with the help of your driver/guide translating, you can ask all the questions you like about their hard but fascinating way of life.

We will drive through the valley of roses, the valley provides some of the most spectacular scenery of the south and is where a large part of Morocco’s rose and rose water production occurs, and slowly the valley will transform into the beauty of  Skoura oasis, the oasis offers an amazing landscape of palm trees and traditional clay kasbahs.

Arrive at Ouarzazate city, with its vibrant culture and artistic traditions. Ouarzazate is a quiet province also known for its film studios, once reaching the city you will be able to walk the streets or explore the film studios as you wish.

DAY 5 : OUARZAZATE  – AIT BENHADDOU – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MARRAKECH:

The morning starts surrounded by the beauty of the city, after enjoying breakfast at your hotel we continue the journey to Ait Ben Haddou an ancient village that has been the scenery for numerous Hollywood movies because of its incomparable beauty, there you will have the opportunity to walk through its captivating alleyways and explore its magic.

After lunch, our route will take us to Telouet kasbah. This Kasbah has a very interesting and particular history, It is located in a fertile valley surrounded by palm, fig, and olive trees after a relaxing walk we will continue to Marrakech.
