Authentic 10-Day Private Morocco Tour From Marrakech

Starting and ending at Marrakech Airport.

Day 1 : Arrival in Marrakech

Your driver will welcome you at Marrakech Airport following your 21:20 arrival. After passport control and luggage collection, transfer directly to your riad for check-in and rest.

Overnight: Riad Aslal or a similar riad in Marrakech.
Meals: Breakfast included.

Day 2 : Marrakech → Essaouira

After breakfast, depart for Essaouira, with an optional stop at an argan oil cooperative.

Enjoy the afternoon exploring the coastal Medina, fishing harbour, artisan shops and historic ramparts. There will also be free time for lunch and a walk along the beach.

Driving: Approximately 3 hours, excluding stops.
Overnight: Riad or hotel in Essaouira.
Meals: Breakfast.

Day 3 : Essaouira → Agadir — Sunset Cable Car

After breakfast, follow the Atlantic coast towards Agadir, with scenic stops and a possible visit to Taghazout.

Check in to your hotel and enjoy some time along the beachfront. In the late afternoon, take the cable car to Agadir Oufella for panoramic coastal views around sunset, subject to weather and operating hours.

Driving: Approximately 3–4 hours, excluding stops.
Overnight: Hotel in Agadir.
Meals: Breakfast.

Day 4 : Agadir → Taliouine → Taznakht → Zagora

Depart early after breakfast for a full travelling day through southern Morocco.

Pass through Taliouine, known for saffron, and Taznakht, known for traditional Amazigh carpets. Continue through Agdz and the Draa Valley, enjoying views of palm groves, kasbahs and villages before reaching Zagora.

Driving: Approximately 7–8 hours, plus meal and sightseeing stops.
Overnight: Hotel or riad in Zagora.
Meals: Breakfast and dinner.

Day 5 : Zagora → Tamgroute → Ouzina

Visit Tamgroute’s traditional green pottery workshops and, if accessible, its historic library.

Continue towards Ouzina by private 4×4, combining road sections and desert tracks through remote villages, rocky plains and open desert scenery. The route will depend on track conditions.

Travel: Full travelling day, including stops and off-road sections.
Overnight: Desert auberge or lodge in Ouzina.
Meals: Breakfast and dinner.

Day 6 : Ouzina → Merzouga — Luxury Desert Camp

After breakfast, continue towards Merzouga. Visit Khamlia for a Gnawa musical experience and learn about the community’s cultural connections with sub-Saharan Africa. A visit to a local desert family may also be arranged, depending on availability.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a sunset camel ride in the Erg Chebbi dunes, or choose a 4×4 transfer to camp. Spend the evening enjoying Moroccan dinner and traditional music beneath the stars.

Meals: Breakfast and dinner.

Day 7 : Merzouga → Erfoud → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley

Wake early to enjoy the sunrise, followed by breakfast at camp.

Travel through Erfoud, with an optional fossil workshop visit, then continue towards Tinghir and the Todra Gorges. Enjoy a walk beneath the cliffs before travelling to the Dades Valley.

Driving: Approximately 5–6 hours, excluding visits and stops.
Overnight: Hotel or guesthouse in the Dades Valley.
Meals: Breakfast and dinner.

Day 8 : Dades Valley → Boutghrar → Skoura → Ouarzazate

Explore the Dades scenery before continuing towards Boutghrar, following scenic rural tracks where conditions allow.

Travel through the Valley of Roses and Skoura’s palm groves. An optional visit to Amridil Kasbah can be arranged before reaching Ouarzazate.

Travel: Approximately 4–6 hours, depending on tracks and visits.
Overnight: Hotel or riad in Ouarzazate.
Meals: Breakfast and dinner.

Day 9 : Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech

An early departure is planned to allow time for your Marrakech visit and an early night before your flight.

After breakfast, visit Ait Ben Haddou, then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Scenic stops will be kept brief to help you reach Marrakech in time for an afternoon guided walk.

Discover the Medina, souks, Koutoubia Mosque exterior and Jemaa el-Fnaa Square with your licensed local guide. Additional monument visits will depend on your arrival time and opening hours.

Return to your riad, prepare your luggage and rest before the early airport transfer.

Day 10 : Early Marrakech Airport Transfer

For your 06:20 flight, plan to leave the riad at approximately 03:00, aiming to reach Marrakech Airport around 03:20. The exact pickup time will be confirmed according to your accommodation and airline’s check-in requirements.

Meals: A takeaway breakfast may be requested in advance, subject to availability.
