4 days private trip from Marrakech to Fes via Sahara desert. The advantage of this tour is combining the two Imperial cities Marrakech and Fes. Passing by the High Atlas Mountains, Telouet Kasbah, UNESCO world heritage site Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, have walk-in Todra gorges, two nights in Erg Chebbi desert for exploring and living the real Nomad life, Camel trek experience, Overnight in Berber tent, etc. Eco desert Morocco team have created this itinerary to offer you time in the Sahara desert.
Day 1: MARRAKECH DESERT TOUR – AIT BEN HADDOU – DADES GORGES:
The first days of 4 days private trip from Marrakech to Fes via Desert, Meet you where you stay in Marrakech and drive to Ouarzazate across Tizi n Tichka pass (2260m), over the High Atlas Mountains. Get to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, which by UNESCO classified as a World Heritage site(1960).
Lunch by the Kasbah and continue to Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”. On, through the “Road of the thousand Kasbahs”- the fascinating “sandcastles”. Stop at Kalaat Mgouna, “the rose’s city. overnight in Dades gorge.
Day 2: DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA DESERT:
Leave the Dades valley towards Tinghir and the Todra valley. Stop in the panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. Get to the Gorge and walk under the 305m where many Rock-climbers come to enjoy their preferred sport.
Continue our Marrakech to Fes desert trip to Tinjdad, and Erfoud, afterward, we leave for the village of Merzouga. Here you will spend your first night in the Riad. Marrakech to Fes desert tour.
Day 3: MERZOUGA DESERT TOUR & CAMEL TREK:
After breakfast you will start your explorative journey of the area, visiting the village of the blacks, originally slaves from Sudan to experience their music and lifestyle. Not far away there’s the lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations, including flamingos. You may also like to visit the nomad wire house where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities.
In the afternoon you will mount your camel, guided by an experienced Camel man, to explore within the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. Here you will spend your first night under the stars, or if you prefer, in a traditional Berber nomad tent. Dinner will be served in the tent where you will spend the night.
Day 4: MERZOUGA DESERT – ZIZ VALLEY – IFRANE – FES:
Your camel man will wake you up early in the morning to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. Afterward, you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to your riad. En route, you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast in the local guest house we’ll travel to Fes via Errachidia along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, and through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt.
Marrakech to Fes desert tour will takes us to Zaida to enjoy a barbecue, and refresh with a glass of mint tea then continue our journey to Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains, before we stop to see the Barbarian apes in the famous Cedar forest. Stop for a picture or a drink then drive to your accommodation in Fes where our 4 Days private trip from Marrakech to Fes via Desert ends.
