Itinerary: 8 Days Desert camping tour from Marrakech to Erg Chebbi and Erg Chigaga Desert.

This 8-day adventure lets you experience the beauty and tranquility of the Merzouga and Erg Chigaga deserts. Spend multiple nights in a desert campsite, enjoying starry skies and peaceful landscapes.

Activities include camel rides, guided tours, and stunning sunsets and sunrises over the dunes. Enjoy traditional meals, storytelling by the campfire, and cultural experiences with locals. DAY 1: MARRAKECH  – TELOUET KASBAH – OUARZAZATE:

We start our Camping Desert Tour by picking you up from your hotel or the Marrakech airport. First, we’ll visit the interesting Kasbah of Telouet in a green valley with palm trees, figs, and olives. This Kasbah has a rich history that makes our adventure special.

Next, we’ll go to the ancient city of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for its appearances in many Hollywood movies. There, you can walk through its charming streets and enjoy its magical atmosphere.

Our journey continues to the lively city of Ouarzazate, known for its art and film studios. You can explore the streets or learn about movie-making in the studios. After a comfortable evening at your hotel with a tasty dinner, we’ll get ready for the next part of our 8 days Desert camping Tour, exploring both Erg Chebbi and Erg Chigaga.

DAY 2 : OUARZAZATE – SKOURA OASIS – ROSES VALLEY – DADES VALLEY:

After breakfast, we visit Skoura Oasis, filled with palm trees and kasbahs, and explore it. Next, we pass through the Valley of Roses, famous for its rose fields.

We then go off-road to meet nomads in their caves, enjoying tea and stories about their way of life. Finally, we reach the Dades Valley, known for its stunning red and orange rocks, where you can relax before tomorrow’s desert adventure.

DAY 3 : DADES GORGES – TODRA GORGES – TINJDAD – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA DESERT:

After breakfast, we’ll head to Todra Gorge, known for its stunning Kasbahs and captivating red rock formations. Our journey continues to Tinejdad, a small city in Errachidia province, offering a magical oasis experience. Driving through the scenic Ziz Valley, we appreciate nature’s beauty.

Next, we reach Merzouga, a Sahara town, to gather desert essentials. Moving to Erg Chebbi, you can enjoy a 1.5-hour camel ride to a Berber camp. There, you’ll have a traditional Moroccan dinner and the option to sleep under the stars or in well-equipped tents.

DAY 4 : MERZOUGA DESERT TOUR – KHAMLIA – OUZINA DESERT:

After breakfast in your Berber camp. Start the real desert adventure by exploring Erg Chebbi. Marrakech desert tour will allow us to visit Nomads, Khamlia village with its Gnawa music, time to have special desert activities such as Moto quad or buggies excursion. Then the part off-road of Paris Dakar, passing by Taouz village. Lunch in Ouzina village with Berber family, a remote village in the middle of the desert. A place where you can meet the local people and experience the real rural Morocco, a very small oasis, you will spend the night in your hotel and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, rest and prepare for the next adventure day to the Sahara desert.

DAY 5 : OUZINA DESERT – TAFRAOUT – ZAGORA:

A beautiful sunrise will get your morning started. After breakfast in the hotel we will continue driving off-road in the beautiful black desert crossing the Berber oases of palm trees, mud houses till we get to Zagora which will provide a handy stop to rest and you will be able to explore the city and experience the life of the desert town. Tonight you will spend the night in Zagora and freshen up for your adventure tomorrow.

DAY 6 : ZAGORA – TAMGROUT – M’HAMID – CHEGAGA DESERT:

This day you will be woken up by the tranquility of the city, after enjoying breakfast we will take the road heading deeper into the eastern south The southern road will take us to the Berber city of Tamgroute where you can admire the simplicity and beauty of the southern life. Later on, we will cross the Oasis city of Mhamid providing us with a surreal landscape, and here we will get the things needed for your desert evening.

Finally, we will reach the Erg Chegaga desert, with the sunset lighting in the background you will have the dreamlike opportunity to ride your camel to the Berber camp where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and sleep under the stars or in fully equipped tents.

DAY 7 : CHEGAGA DESERT – FOUM SGUID – OUARZAZATE:

Today you will be woken up by an amazing sunrise in the desert and a traditional Moroccan breakfast after which we will head back on the road to our next stop, the city of Ouarzazate driving through Zguit and the dry lake of Iriqui, this now dry lake will amaze you with its exotic desert plants finally arriving at Ouarzazate, a city of vibrant culture and artistic traditions.

Ouarzazate is a quiet province also known for its film studios, once reaching this city you will be able to walk the streets or explore the studios. Here you will spend the night at your hotel, enjoy dinner, and rest. 8 days Marrakech desert tour Erg Chebbi and Erg Chegaga.

DAY 8 : OUARZAZATE TO MARRAKECH:

The morning starts surrounded by the beauty of the city, after enjoying breakfast at your hotel we will continue the journey of Marrakech desert tour to our next and final destination the city of Marrakech.
