DAY 1: MARRAKECH TO OUARZAZATE:

5 days tour from Marrakech to Agadir and Erg Chigaga Sahara desert. Departs at 8am and drives you from your Riad in Marrakech towards the High Atlas Mountains passing through the Tichka mountain range. We will go off the main path and take a side road to Telouet Kasbah which belongs to the Glaoui family, the wealthiest people in the Atlas area, and the only way to get to this area due to the devastation after the departure of the last Pasha by the French.

The tour from Marrakech to Agadir and Sahara desert will then continue into the most famous Kasbah “Ait Ben Haddou”, have lunch in the area and also visit the UNESCO World Heritage site. After a full day of sight seeing we will spend the night in a Riad in Ouarzazate City ending our first day of the Best Marrakech Sahara Tour.

DAY 2: OUARZAZATE TO ERG CHIGAGA DESERT:

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Tamnougalt Kasbah in the Draa Valley, traveling along an ancient caravan route through villages and gardens. Next, we’ll drive to M’hamid, the gateway to the desert, and continue to the Erg Lihoudi dunes for lunch.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to the Erg Chigaga dunes (300m high), where you’ll enjoy a two-hour camel ride before reaching your desert camp. Along the way, take in the stunning landscapes of rocky deserts, stony plains, sand dunes, and oases, far from any villages, offering breathtaking views.

DAY 3: ERG CHIGAGA DESERT TO TAROUDANT:

After breakfast, our Morocco tour from Marrakech to Sahara desert via Agadir, will start by driving another 90km across the Sahara over the Stony Desert, and the Iriqui Lake which is completely dried up but the perfect place to search for fossils. We will have lunch when we reach Taznakht, which is known for its Berber Gelims and carpets, after crossing Foum Zguid at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Then we will pass by Tizi-N-Ikhsane, Tizi-N-Tighatine, until Taliouine, the heart of the saffron growing area. Arriving at Taroudant by the end of the afternoon, we will stop there to have dinner and spend the night at a local Riad.

DAY 4: TAROUDANT – AGADIR – ESSAOUIRA:

Our third day will begin with breakfast, then a visit to Taroudant “the little Marrakech”, which is known for its ramparts and stunning Medina. From there we will continue to travel by the Souss River Valley, which contains many Argan groves as far as Agadir, then to the coast passing through the valley of paradise driving by Taghazout and the mountains. Arriving at Essaouira we will visit the town, the Medina, the Skala and all of its countless shops as well as the front sea with its restaurants and delicious catch of the day offerings. We will spend the night here in Essaouira taking in all of its charm and culture.

DAY 5: ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKECH:

Our last day of the Best Marrakech Sahara tour to Agadir and Sahara desert, will start by having breakfast and then we will continue the day by having a walk around Essaouira seeing more of the sights, shopping the local artisans and perhaps tasting a bit more of the local fish for lunch. We will then start our drive back to Marrakech stopping by a forest of Argan trees where you will observe the co operative of Argan oil makers along with various stops in local Berber villages.
