ITINERARY: MOROCCO FAMILY SUMMER TRIP.

Enjoy a fun and relaxing summer holiday in Morocco, perfect for families with children! This trip is full of exciting things to do — ride camels in the Agafay desert, walk in the mountains, explore colorful old towns, and play on beautiful beaches.

You will visit Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, the Atlantic coast in Essaouira, and the beach city of Agadir. The trip includes short drives, safe places to explore, and fun activities for kids and adults. There’s also time to rest, swim, and enjoy Moroccan food together as a family.

This trip can be changed to fit the number of days you have and what your family enjoys most. It’s the perfect way to make happy memories in Morocco.

 

Family friendly Morocco Summer trip ( 10 Days & 9 Nights ).

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech.

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you’ll be transferred to your family-friendly Riad or hotel. Take it easy with a gentle walk through the Medina. Kids will enjoy the street performers and colorful sights. Overnight in the Riad.

Day 2: Marrakech Guided Tour.

Today is all about exploring Marrakech’s landmarks. Visit Jardin Majorelle for a peaceful stroll among exotic plants, then explore Bahia Palace’s grand courtyards. Enjoy a short Medina tour with kid-friendly stops like fresh juice stalls and local sweet shops. Optional: join a hands-on workshop like pottery or tile painting.

Day 3: Day Trip to Agafay Desert.

A short drive takes you to the beautiful rocky landscapes of Agafay Desert. Ride camels, try family-friendly quad biking, and enjoy lunch with a desert view. Time for kids in the swimming pools. Return to Marrakech in the evening.

Day 4: Day Trip to Imlil Village (Atlas Mountains).

Head to the Atlas Mountains for fresh air and nature. In Imlil, take a guided walk suitable for children, and enjoy a traditional mint tea at a local Berber house. Kids can ride a mule part of the way! Enjoy lunch with mountain views before returning to Marrakech.

Day 5: Marrakech to Essaouira.

Travel to the breezy Atlantic coast and the charming town of Essaouira. Along the way, stop to visit an Argan oil cooperative. Once in Essaouira, explore the beach and Medina at your own pace. It’s a calm, safe place for families.

Day 6: Free Day in Essaouira.

Enjoy a laid-back day by the ocean! Take surfing lessons (gentle waves are ideal for beginners), ride camels or horses along the beach, or just relax while the kids build sandcastles. You can also explore the quiet blue Medina and grab ice cream along the port.

Day 7: Essaouira to Agadir via Taghazout.

Drive along the coast with a stop in Taghazout, a boho-style surf village, great for a beachside lunch. Continue to Agadir and check into your beach resort. Spend the afternoon at the pool or walking along the beach promenade. Optional, take cable car to Agadir Oufla.

Day 8: Day Trip to Igoudar d’Ait Baha.

Explore one of Morocco’s oldest hilltop granaries! This off-the-beaten-path site is fun for kids to wander and climb. Enjoy a picnic or stop at a local village for lunch. Return to Agadir for a relaxing afternoon and dinner at your resort.

Day 9: Agadir to Marrakech.

Today, drive back to Marrakech. On the way, you can stop in Taroudant for a quick visit to its small Medina and ancient walls. Once in Marrakech, enjoy a final evening of shopping or a family dinner at a rooftop restaurant.

Day 10: Marrakech – Airport Drop-Off.

Depending on your flight time, you may have time for a last stroll, snack, or some souvenir shopping. Then transfer to the airport for your departure. Safe travels and see you again in Morocco.
